Retirement policy expert Rob Yuille from the Association of British Insurers will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Retirement Planner Forum on 15 June.
Yuille, the association’s head of retirement policy, will address delegates at the Waldorf Hilton, London, on the progress of pension freedom, the rapid expansion of non-advised drawdown and the risk of paying too much tax on retirement income.
His presentation follows the launch of the ABI’s five-point plan to address the challenges posed by pension freedom and how to improve the retirement landscape for consumers.
The adviser-focused event’s other keynote speaker is Mr SIPP himself, John Moret.
Moret, an industry veteran and managing director of MoretoSIPPs, will speak on the future of the self-invested pension market.
He will examine the issues facing the SIPP market today, and those advising on it – particularly in relation to recent regulatory failings. He will also take in some of the influences which may shape the marketplace for SIPPs and pensions in the next few years.
Delegates will also hear from provider LV= on the growth in defined benefit transfers; Transact’s take on the changing landscape of retirement provision; and Retirement Advantage’s Andrew Tully on strategies for managing income drawdown.
