Panacea Adviser is to host a free virtual conference for advisers and paraplanners featuring keynote speakers and online presentations focused on retirement market reforms.
The virtual trade show, Retirement Choices 2016, will cover the impact of pension freedom, introduced in April 2015.
The reforms handed defined contribution savers over the age of 55 complete access to their pension pots, subject to normal taxation. Advisers were faced with a massive retirement income challenge as a result.
The conference, set for 25 February, will feature presentations on pension freedom as well as proposed changes to the pension tax relief system, which could see a shift to a flat-rate of tax relief for all savers.
Panacea said its event was the first free virtual event for advisers and paraplanners in the UK.
Virtual delegates will able to log in and hear from a number of keynote speakers and watch virtual presentations on issues surrounding pension reforms.
Live text debates will take place after some of the sessions, giving attendees the chance to put questions to the experts and speakers to get real-time answers.
The free event enables advisers to remain at their desks while browsing a virtual convention center, featuring a lobby, lounge and exhibition hall.
Delegates will be issued with a virtual business card. Representatives from Panacea will be on hand to ‘show people around’ on the day.
Retirement Planner’s sister title Professional Adviser is an official partner of the event.
